Mr. Bartlett is a consultant to the firm for complex corporate finance and securities law matters. Joe practiced business law in Los Angeles for more than 35 years, and has extensive experience in corporate, finance and business law, focusing on socially conscious technology companies. Mr. Bartlett advises companies as to debt and equity finance structures as well as corporate governance, litigation management, compensation, public and private securities law compliance, and other legal issues facing developing companies. He specializes in structuring and negotiating complex business arrangements, including strategic investment and licensing agreements, partnerships and LLC agreements and financings.
Since 2006 Mr. Bartlett has served as general counsel to a leading private trust, structuring, negotiating, and administering more than 50 venture capital, convertible debt and other investments in socially conscious technologies, involving more than $1B in total investments. Mr. Bartlett has served on more than a dozen public and private boards and advises (and has served numerous times as an expert witness) on fiduciary duties of directors and shareholders. He has also overseen complex bankruptcy and litigation matters for his business clients.
